The steering wheel heater gets the rim of your steering wheel to a comfortable temperature in a very short time. So in the winter months, this will  keep your hands warm as you drive and make your daily commute or road trip a far more pleasant experience. The activation button is located on the steering wheel column.

The Ambient Lighting lets you customise the colour in the cabin to create the perfect atmosphere for the interior. Depending on the colour world selected in the Centre Instrument Display (Lounge or Sport), 6 matching colours can be selected  via a toggle in the ceiling.  The radiant, laser-engraved ring around the CID with backlighting changes colours in response to events. Below the cockpit, a decorative strip on the driver and passenger side provide further illumination. Further ambient lighting is provided by special piping on the door trims, in the front and rear footwells, around the front centre console as well as by door handles. Waterfall lighting in the front and rear adds a gentle ethereal glow. On the exterior, decorative door handle and door entry (puddle) lighting in the front and rear lends unique personality and style.

Even when closed, the two-section panoramic sliding glass roof fills the interior with light, creating a bright, welcoming ambience. It opens and closes automatically at the touch of a button, and can also be operated using the key remote. It doubles as a sliding roof and a vent roof, and is also fitted with a sun screen and wind deflector. The front half can be raised using the one-touch function.

These adaptive LED headlights add matrix lighting technology to your MINI – with brilliant results. By swiveling into the direction of the road, LED cornering lights ensure an adaptive beam distribution that illuminates what’s around the corner. So you see parts of the road you might have missed – enhancing your safety, especially on dimly-lit bends. And as the adaptive headlights are directed towards the road, glare is reduced, so you don't blind oncoming drivers. The bad weather light also provides better illumination of the road in fog or adverse weather conditions. And safety is further enhanced by fully-enclosed LED daytime running lights whose unique appearance is completed by stylish white direction indicators and the slick, contemporary anthracite housing. At the rear, striking LED embrace the Union Jack design – giving a stylish nod to the past, as you roar on into the future.
